An opportunity is now available for a Reservations Direct Consultant to join our reservations team of 25 consultants at our St. Leonards offices.

These hardworking men and women are critical to the success of the resort. They are multi-tasking, organised, friendly, positive superstars with a can-do attitude that could juggle an approaching cyclone while describing a luxury villa in the next breath.

Your role as Reservations Direct Consultant is to respond to inbound calls, emails and chats within our call centre, provide expert advice and tailor a unique experience for each guest. This is an ideal role for a former travel agent with Galileo experience as you will be responsible for creating holiday packages including flights, tours and activities.

You will also:

  • Provide accurate quotes to guests, follow up sales leads and confirm bookings while actively selling domestic flights with our key airline partners through the GDS (Galileo)
  • Actively follow up sales leads via email or phone to increase conversion
  • Focus on call conversation and other sales-based KPIs in order to maximise revenue and achieve personal sales targets
  • Take care of all aspects of the enquiry and booking process including processing deposit and final balance payments, sending confirmation emails, amending bookings, managing cancellations and refunds
  • Communicate any special guest requests to our Front Office team to create an extraordinary guest experience on island
  • Assist the Front Office teams with any booking-related queries arising from the check-in or check-out process
  • Keep abreast of new rates, packages and current special offers or promotions to provide the guest with the best available deal

About you:

You will be a career travel professional with extensive GDS (preferably Amadeus) experience. Your commitment to customer service and treating each person as an individual is what has made you successful. It’s been a tough 18 months for travel agents and we understand that you might be looking for a change while still making the most of your sales and systems skills. You thrive on working to targets and sales incentives and have the ability to work under pressure and are a ‘can do’ positive team player.

You will also have:

  • A Tertiary Travel Qualification
  • Minimum 2 years travel agency experience
  • 12 months experience in a sales based customer contact centre
  • Flexible and adaptable within an ever changing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work independently and without direct supervision
